Pebble, Malorie & Mathaska – A Tale of Churches

The Millions’ For Christ Sierra Leone Report, September to December 2018.

Sierra Leone witnessed the miraculous power of the Lord over His people. Many souls were converted and the planting of the  Pebble church in the Northern district of Sierra Leone was a major highlight of the last quarter of 2018. The other churches in Magburaka, Makorie, Malone, Mathaska, and Kamaranka had good times.

PEBBLE OUTREACH

The need for a a holistic mission in Pebble community was very obvious –  the nearest school was 2 miles away, there was no medical center and no church. The Chief of the community was so concerned that he pleaded with us to at least begin a school in his community.

In December, 2018,  a three day gospel outreach was held. God’s power was manifest – demons were dispelled and spells were broken. Men and women freely submitted their charms and made commitment to Jesus.

Since that December outreach, the Church was established in Pebble community and has sustained. Brethren from the neighboring Freetown go to encourage the fledgling church weekly. The church is now able also to listen to the Bible in Themne,  her dialect. A radio gift from the Mission made this possible.

More so, plans are underway to begin the construction of a church house. Gifts for this are pouring in. Notable is a contribution by a Nigerian partner worth two hundred and twenty five thousand Naira. Gratefulness abound in our hearts. Praise God.

MEDICAL OUTREACH IN PEBBLE

MAKORIE CHURCH GROWS

The church in Makorie has continued to experience remarkable growth. Her current pastor, Mark is an indigenous minister. He has been very instrumental in strengthening the church.  Makorie church now owns her own benches. Thanks to God. It is worth noting that Pastor Mark had been nurtured in the Magburaka church. He was formerly fellowshipping with the Magburaka.
